    At Quest, the QTC - Skill Instructor is responsible for implementation of services outlined in overall quality care, safety and supervision of all program participants in our Quest Training Center (QTC). Working under the direction of a Program Coordinator, the QTC - Skill Instructor provides services which support the lives of the people we serve.

    • Treat all people with dignity and respect, ensuring all personal rights are met including communicating in a friendly and professional manner with all people. All people to include coworkers, program participants, visitors and customers.
    • Provide constant supervision, engagement and support to program participants by consistently meeting schedule requirements to ensure proper ratio requirements of assigned individuals.
    • Facilitate skill development programs for assigned participants including required instruction, assistance, prompting and documentation.
    • Actively participate in ideas, suggestions and feedback on assigned skill development programs.
    • Actively facilitate, assist and encourage program participants to participate and engage in meaningful day activities (i.e. Art, Fitness, Social, Adult Education), community inclusion trips and other routine activities in program schedule through own involvement and participation.  
    • Ensure outlined processes and timelines are met in relations to paid vocational skill training, including assisting in contract work, performing quality assurance for contract work, loading/unloading of contract work, etc.
    • Implement personal care, meal, and medication administration and behavior service protocols as outlined by facility and provide care for program participants, including activities of daily living (personal hygiene needs, toileting, mealtime assistance and repositioning).
    • Complete required data collection/documentation accurately and in a timely manner for training programs, behavior plans, service goals, attendance, incident reports, seizure monitoring sheets and production tally sheets.
    • Operate company vehicles in order to transport people served as scheduled. Complete all inspections and documentation each time the vehicle is operated.
    • Facilitate safe working environment through performing routine housekeeping duties, reporting of potential hazards, and consistently maintaining assigned facility/area in a safe and clean manner.
    • Attend all required trainings and monthly staff meetings.



    • Eligible to legally work in the United States
    • Be at least 18 years of age
    • One year experience working in a medical, psychiatric, nursing or child care setting or working with persons who have with Developmentally Disabled preferred, but not required
    • Successfully complete a background check and drug screen
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English
    • Ability to thrive in a team environment
    • Valid FL driver’s License with a clean driving record
    • Ability to provide proof of educational achievement or required certifications such as a high school diploma, GED, college degree, advanced degree, or medical credentials
