    At Quest, the Cluster Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides a variety of services to individuals with developmental disabilities in our low ratio, family-like environment. Direct Support Professionals work in an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF).

    • Implements Active Treatment, including but not limited to, training programs, behavior plans and/or protocols, and service goals. Completing documentation correctly and timely.
    • Is observant of the environment and ensures the safety of self, co-workers and clients.
    • Completes housekeeping duties on a daily basis to ensure a safe and clean environment. This includes but is not limited to washing dishes, stripping and making beds, laundry, taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, mopping and sweeping all areas of the cluster.
    • Ensures safety for individuals and co-workers by following correct physical management techniques during positioning and transfers.
    • Ensures safety for individuals during meal-times by following correct mealtime procedures and individual meal-card instructions.
    • Ensures client daily activity schedules are followed and clients are offered choices throughout the day.
    • Ensures clients receive therapeutic positioning and wears or uses adaptive devices as prescribed.
    • Ensures clients who have addition medical assist devices, such as tracheotomy tubes, G/J-tubes, ventilators, urostomy bags, colostomy bags, or other devices are handled with extreme care to prevent dislodging or malfunction of items or injury to client.
    • Operates company vans/buses to transport clients to day programs, appointments, and community inclusion events, to include loading and unloading clients on and off van/bus, and driving.
    • Attends meetings and trainings as required.
    • Follows and adheres to Quest’s Policies and Procedures.
    • Acts as an advocate for clients at home and in the community.
    • Ensures health and safety of clients by providing shift coverage which may include staying past regularly scheduled shift, up to eight hours.
    • Assists Lead staff or Janitor in putting away stock and stocking rooms with items.
    • Uses resources wisely.
    • Cleans and sanitizes client equipment (such as beds, wheelchairs, positioning equipment, program and leisure equipment, personal care boxes, lifts, shower lifts, etc.)
    • Reports to work during inclement weather to ensure client ratios are met.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned by direct supervisor, lead, or manager.


    • Eligible to legally work in the United States
    • Be at least 18 years of age
    • One year experience working in a medical, psychiatric, nursing or child care setting or working with persons who have with Developmentally Disabled preferred, but not required
    • Successfully complete a background check and drug screen
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English
    • Ability to thrive in a team environment
    • Valid FL Driver’s License with a clean driving record
    • Ability to provide proof of educational achievement or required certifications such as a high school diploma, GED, college degree, advanced degree, or medical credentials
    • CNA/HHA certification preferred
