At Quest, the Grant Coordinator is responsible for assisting all grant and foundation fundraising efforts from research to proposal submission to grants reporting. This position is an excellent opportunity to stretch skills and be a key player in various aspects of development and while working for a well-known community based nonprofit organization.


With the key objective to increase grant funding to support Quest's mission, undertake prospect identification, research, proposal development, assembly of background material and writing.

  • Accurate and timely production of final proposals.
  • Assist in the compliance and reporting requirements for grantors/funders.
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with grantors. Track and document communications.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining Donor Pro donor database.
  • Research potential major donor prospects.
  • Assist with donor outreach, cultivation, and stewardship.
  • Provide Administrative Support, as needed.
  • Update the Quest Grant Calendar and other organizational tools as needed.
  • Serve as an active member of the Development team and assist with other department projects as needed.
  • Serve as an active member of the Development team and attend all department meetings.
  • Display enthusiasm for the mission of Quest and the individuals we serve.
  • Follow all policies and procedures of the department and the organization.




  • Eligible to legally work in the United States.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Valid FL Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Senior, Graduate Student or recent graduate from an accredited college or university, preferably with a degree or credits in related field (e.g. Communications, Non-profit management.
  • Previous experience in research and/or grant writing, preferred. 
  • Understanding of or prior work / volunteer experience in a non-profit a plus
  • Must have excellent writing skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite. Must be computer literate (working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), Donor Pro software.
