Responsibilities

At Quest, the Orlando Maintenance Lead maintains professionalism and industry standards while using all aspects of building and vehicle maintenance, supervision of maintenance staff and working knowledge of computer programs.

  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance work orders. Work with location managers to ensure minimal interruption of program services.
  • Manage and coordinate training needs and certification renewal for maintenance staff, as needed.
  • Identify priorities, acquire estimates when needed, submit estimates to immediate supervisor and follow up with repairs as directed.
  • Order materials at volume level necessary to receive discounts for more cost efficient purchasing power.
  • Coordinate and track records – vehicle repairs, scheduled maintenance upgrade and safety equipment to all facilities in which maintenance is involved.
  • Collect, review and send all receipts to Administration for payment.
  • Administer office work and support projects working alongside staff or independently to perform basic carpentry, plumbing repairs and installations.
  • Manage and train staff according to industry and company standards/guidelines.
  • Inspect facilities for health, safety and security concerns as it relates to maintenance and establish a plan of correction to address any problems.
  • Prioritize, execute and follow-up donation pick-ups and dispersals and complete special projects in a timely manner.
  • Move office equipment, assemble and disassemble equipment, furniture, appliances, etc.
  • Track vendors to verify all work is completed in a specific timeframe and all work is checked for quality assurance.
  • Develop schedules and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate with volunteer coordinator to provide adequate materials and/or support when required.
  • Exhibit computer knowledge and positive communication skills necessary to coordinate office and field work to maintain Quest’s facilities and vehicles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Eligible to legally work in the United States
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Successfully complete a background check and drug screen
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Valid FL Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Ability to provide proof of educational achievement or required certifications such as a high school diploma, GED, college degree, advanced degree, or medical credentials
  • Minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience required
  • 2+ years construction, maintenance or similar experience required
  • HVAC certification required
  • Electrical, plumbing or small motor vehicle certification preferred
