At Quest, the Accounting Clerk position is responsible for preparing of monthly journal entries and schedules assist in Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable processes, and annual/quarterly state and federal reports.

  • Complete drafted finance reports including monthly and year to date income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statements and other internal reports.
  • Process monthly recurring journal entries and accruals.
  • Run and organize variance reports by cost center.
  • Run month end reports from fixed assets system and record current month depreciation and disposals.
  • Annual Audit: Collect and compile essential documentation for Quest, Inc. annual audit
  • Process and submit by predetermine due dates the following governmental required documents in a timely fashion
    • Estimated Tax Payments - monthly
    • State fuel reimbursement - monthly
    • Florida Sales Tax - monthly
    • Annual and Quarterly Census Reports
    • All other required documents as needed
  • Process Camp Thunderbird applications by scanning the full application and save to Camp Thunderbird shared folder.  Process all camp billing and collections once Camp workbook is been updated.  Handle all Camp billing related questions from our internal and external customers. Provide Camp staff with updated aging prior to each camp session as well as monthly during the off-season.
  • Complete balance sheet schedules for the Accounting Mangers review.  Excluding the following schedules: Quest operating bank account, Avatar A/R Schedules, Rep Payee Schedule, Payroll schedules and Mortgage schedules
  • Build and maintaining positive relationships with staff and customers by:
    • Helping others understand accounting processes and assist with any questions or concerns.
    • Acknowledging when you are wrong by apologizing and going beyond to fix your errors.  
    • Follow up on any concerns on the same or the next business day.
    • Showing others kindness and gratitude
  • Challenge current operating procedures to ensure quality, effectiveness and efficiency in order to help Quest meet its mission.
  • Ensure compliance with all Quest policies and procedures.  Keep information related to consumers and Quest confidential.
  • Assist Accounting Manager when necessary


  • Eligible to legally work in the United States.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Valid FL Driver's License or FL State ID.
  • Associates degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Previous accounting experience preferred, but not required.
  • Intermediate level of experience in Microsoft Office programs a must.
