Responsibilities

At Quest Camp Thunderbird, the Activity Lead provides supervision, guidance and leadership to the Activity Staff team, and to manage activity safety and daily operation.

  • Creates, implements and manages activity schedule for guests and staff.
  • Oversees risk management of camp programming, ensuring that camp safety regulations for guests and fellow staff members are followed.
  • Oversees the inventory of all activity areas and manages the ordering of needed activity supplies, equipment, etc. (requests to directors in advance, restock recommendations for summer season).
  • Maintains American Camp Association standards in areas involving camp activities.
  • Takes camp photos and updates online photo camp album for parents/guardians to view.
  • Lives on-site during session to ensure availability to meet guests’ needs during their stay at camp.
  • Participates actively in all required camp trainings and meetings, facilitating specific training sessions/meetings as assigned.
  • Follows all Quest policies and procedures as outlined in the Camp Thunderbird Staff Manual.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Eligible to legally work in the United States
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Successfully complete a background check and drug screen
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Valid FL Driver’s License with a clean driving record or State ID
  • Ability to provide proof of educational achievement or required certifications such as a high school diploma, GED, college degree, advanced degree, or medical credentials
  • Experience in recreational/camp activity planning and implementation preferred
