    Responsibilities

    At Quest Village, the Lead In-Home Assistant supports and encourage the acquisition of personal outcomes for all residents at Quest Village. Provides leadership and supervision to promote a high quality if the life for persons served and to ensure that consumer individual personal goals and expectations are met.

    • Implement and document training activities as specified in the annual plan to include, but not limited to: self-help, daily living, social and leisure skills and nutritional management.
    • Document information pertaining to daily tasks, activities and other communication applicable to individuals in the program.
    • Administer prescribed medications, monitor self-administrations of medications, follow protocol for disposal of medication/equipment and document same.
    • Maintain a home atmosphere and positive environment while encouraging personal choices.
    • Assist individuals in planning, preparing and purchasing well-balanced meals and attend to special dietary needs.
    • Assess internal and external safety environmental issues and correct or report them.
    • Manage program funds by accurately recording and tracking expenditures.
    • Conduct monthly safety drills and submit documentation by deadline.
    • Provide direct supervision, support and development to In-Home Assistants.
    • Collaborate with the Program Director on the performance evaluation of staff.
    • Monitor staff attendance and performance and recommend positive direction when appropriate.
    • Ensure compliance by assisting with the implementation of the internal audit system.
    • Input purchase orders and monthly attendance via the accounting software system.
    • Assist the Program Director in maintaining staffing ratios, including scheduling.
    • Assist in the extended orientation of new staff and residents.
    • Assist the Program Director in all areas of the Annual Plan process and attend plan meetings as requested.

    Qualifications

    • Eligible to legally work in the United States
    • Be at least 18 years of age
    • Successfully complete a background check and drug screen
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English
    • Ability to thrive in a team environment
    • Valid FL Driver’s License with a clean driving record
    • Ability to provide proof of educational achievement or required certifications such as a high school diploma, GED, college degree, advanced degree, or medical credentials
    • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role is preferred
