    Responsibilities

    At Quest Kids, the Scheduling Specialist coordinates client scheduling activities for all Quest Kids locations and programs, including but not limited to QK-Orlando, QK-Longwood, QK-Academy Therapy, Quest Swims, Quest Health and Safety and other programs as may arise or be developed in the future. The Scheduling Specialist will also work closely with the Director of Business Operations, Insurance Specialist and Front Desk operations personnel to integrate and utilize to their fullest capabilities the Electronic Health Records systems of Quest Kids.

    • Schedule Client assessments and regular therapy sessions for all Quest Kids clients to assure full utilization of authorized care, avoiding treatment beyond authorized time.
    • Schedule clients within the restrictions of authorizations including, team assignment, billing code restrictions, etc.
    • Modify the schedule based on absence requests from staff and client cancellations as these requests are received.
    • Update the final realized daily client schedule in the electronic records system within 48 hours.
    • Regularly contact client parents with requests for anticipated absences.
    • Proactively seek opportunities to back fill holes in the schedule and coordinate staff schedules to maximize utilization.
    • Continuously work with Insurance Specialists, Therapists and other operations team members to remain aware of necessary changes to billing codes, authorization restrictions, credential changes and organization driven changes to client therapy schedules.
    • Work with the Quest Kids Director of Business Operations to assure Quest Kids business operational quality and organizational stability by assisting in the development and implementation of standards and controls, systems, processes and regular business operations evaluation.
    • Assures the Quest, Inc., mission along with Quest Kids programs and services are consistently presented in a strong positive image to families, the community, potential partners, referral sources and others with whom Quest, Inc., might serve, support or collaborate.
    • Other duties as assigned or that arise.

    Qualifications

    • Eligible to legally work in the United States
    • Be at least 18 years of age
    • Successfully complete a background check and drug screen
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English
    • Ability to thrive in a team environment
    • Valid FL Driver's License or State ID
    • Minimum of a High School diploma/GED
    • Associates Degree, preferred
    • Scheduling experience in a related medical field, or similar position of scheduling
    • Use of related computerized scheduling systems experience
