    Responsibilities

    At Quest, the Orlando Group Home Health Care Coordinator position coordinates the health care services for people who live in Quest's Residential Program. 

    • Act as a liason between Quest, the physician(s) of the people served and the pharmacy to ensure that all medications are appropriate, documented correctly on the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and an adequate supply is available for Quest team members to pass. 
    • Complete all nursing justifications, reports, assessments, and care plans.
    • Participate in the admission and discharge process by completing appropriate assessments and summaries.
    • Monitor weight charts, seizure records, lab reports, bowel habit records, fluid intake records, etc. to investigate and report significant changes to individual's physician and coordinate follow-up care as appropriate.
    • Ensure that all people served in Quest's residential programs have medical, dental and health needs addressed through regular (at a minimum, annual) professional appointments with their health care provider(s).
    • Receive all medication error reports, coordinate with prescribing physician and implement any necessary follow-up procedures.
    • Maintain complete medical records for all persons in accordance with agency policy and all program regulations.
    • Supervise the storage/administration of medications for compliance with all program regulations.
    • Provide in-service training for health care or other related areas to ensure staff competency levels.  
    • Comply with Quest's Policies and procedures.
    • Provide CPR/First Aid training for staff within the organization.
    • Perform other duties as requested.

    Qualifications

    • Eligible to legally work in the United States
    • Be at least 18 years of age
    • Successfully complete a background check and drug screen
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English
    • Ability to thrive in a team environment
    • Valid FL Driver's License with a clean driving record
    • Ability to provide proof of educational achievement or required certifications such as a minimum of a high school diploma, GED, college degree, advanced degree, or medical credentials
    • Must have a State of Florida Registered Nurse (RN) unrestricted license

    • One year experience working with developmentally disabled individuals
