    At Quest Inc, The Nursing Manager supervises the development, implementation, and monitoring of the health care service delivery for all individuals living in Orlando Residential Programs in accordance with federal and state regulations.


    Active Treatment:

    • Oversees delivery of medical treatment to clients.
    • Oversees provision of dietary and dental services.
    • Complete clinical assessment to residents as needed.  
    • Monitor weight charts, seizure records, lab reports, bowel habit records, fluid intake records, etc. to investigate and report significant changes to individual's physician(s) and coordinate follow-up care as appropriate. 
    • In partnership with the Assistant DON, provide 24-hour on call assistance for medical emergencies in the residential programs.



    • Act as a liaison between Quest, the physicians and the pharmacy to ensure that all medications are appropriate, documented correctly on the Medication Administration Record and an adequate supply is available for Quest team members to pass. 
    • Ensure medical records are organized, accurate and complete.
    • Implement internal audit system to ensure Nursing and Medical compliance with applicable federal, state and local standards.
    • Supervise the storage of and administration of medications for compliance with state and federal regulations.
    • Receive all medication error reports, coordinate with prescribing physician and implement any necessary follow-up procedures.
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of and monitor staff compliance with Pharmacy, Nursing and Infection Control policies and procedures.
    • Coordinate and oversee medication administration validations for direct support staff. 
    • Oversee resident admission and discharge procedures in accordance with policies and procedures.
    • Participate in disaster planning, including provision of nursing services before, during and after disaster/emergencies.  
    • Complete all nursing justifications, reports, assessments and care plans.
    • Update and/or implement nursing forms and data collection for client care as well as nursing policies and procedures.
    • Function as a trainer for health related courses such as CPR, First Aid, HIV/AIDS, Bloodborne Pathogens and Medication Administration.
    • Provide ongoing training in appropriate health related topics to employees and residents as needed.


    Staffing, supervision and leadership:

    • Recruit, interview, and hire direct reports.
    • Establish clear performance expectations with direct reports.
    • Provide performance feedback (coaching and development) to all direct reports consistent with Quest guidelines.
    • Establish team environment between the medical team and residential staff.
    • Participate in the Residential Leadership Team.
    • Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.
    • Prioritize and manage multiple projects and duties simultaneously.
    • Inspire, motivate, and lead people.
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, both In writing and verbally.
    • Collect, analyze and synthesize data.
    • Mobilize resources to meet the needs of the program.
    • Use sound judgment in making decisions.
    • Delegate, plan and organize.



    • Eligible to legally work in the United States
    • Be at least 18 years of age
    • Successfully complete a background check and drug screen
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English
    • Ability to thrive in a team environment
    • Valid FL Driver's License with a clean driving record
    • Must have a valid unrestricted license as RN in the state of Florida
    • Bachelor or Masters of Science in Nursing preferred.
    • Prior work in ICF/DD setting.
    • 5 years in management or supervisory position, in a leadership role preferred.
