At Quest Inc, the Residential Skill Instructor under minimal supervision, develops, trains, and oversees skill acquisition programs that enable persons served to achieve their goals. Promotes resident skill acquisition as a value of the program. Assists DSP staff to increase competency in programming.
· Develop residential programs that support individual goals receiving services in Quest Group Homes. Promote programs to enhance and increase residents’ independence.
· Train direct supports on implementation of residential programs. Monitor supports on implementation.
· Assist staff to maintain a family home atmosphere and a positive environment. Provide positive interaction with residents and co-workers and respect individual differences. Serve as a role model in the environment.
· Ensure compliance with all state, local, and funding source standards, including submitting all documentation in a timely manner. Assist with the implementation of the internal audit system as requested.
• Complete required progress reports monthly, quarterly, annually according to agency timelines.
· Follow all safety procedures and train others to do the same. Use safety procedures when moving individuals during behavioral crisis.
· Report all incidents of abuse/neglect in accordance with the Disabled Abuse Act to the abuse registry and train others to recognize abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
· Attend support plan meetings and advocate for individuals to assist in the development of goals that are functional, obtainable, and chosen by the individual.
· Maintain communication and collaboration with individuals, family members, social support systems, and service providers as appropriate.
· Attend and participate in Behavior department meetings, required training, case reviews, staff meetings, and other meetings as requested. Self-monitor training records to ensure that all required certifications/validations and other trainings are current. Check Quest email account during each work day and respond to all communication promptly.
· Follow, model, and be able to train others in all Quest and programmatic policies and procedures.

· Bachelor’s degree- preferred
· Previous experience with Competencies
· Eligible to legally work in the United States
· Be at least 18 years of age
· Must have at least 1 year of related work experience
· Successfully complete a background check and drug screen
· Ability to read, write, and speak English
· Ability to thrive in a team environment
· Valid FL Driver’s License with a clean driving record
