    At Quest, the Camp Activity Staff is responsible for planning, facilitating and supervising camp activities in a specialized area, assist other activity staff in their areas, and assist cabin staff during cabin times.

    • Creates and implements lesson plans in specialized program area appropriate for guests variety of abilities and interests.
    • Plans, documents, and facilitates evening programs and all-camp activities as assigned.
    • Ensures that camp safety regulations for guests and fellow staff members are followed.
    • Conducts checks of activity area and equipment for safety, cleanliness and good repair.
    • Facilitates engagement in camp activities by leading activities and assigning responsibilities to participants.
    • Maintains a resort-like environment for persons served, other team members and visitors.
    • Cares for guests by assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting (including incontinent care), feeding, repositioning, and basic first aid as needed.
    • Lives on-site during camp season to ensure availability to meet guests needs during their stay at camp.
    • Inventories assigned activity areas at start and end of summer season and communicates any equipment or supplies needs to Activity Lead.
    • Participates actively in all required camp trainings and meetings, facilitating specific training sessions/meetings when assigned.
    • Facilitates guest choice in activities by providing variety and information on available choices within activities.
    • Recognizes guest achievement through camp guest recognition programs and determines awards appropriately.
    • Follows all Quest policies and procedures as outlined in the Camp Thunderbird Staff Manual.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.


    • Eligible to legally work in the United States
    • Be at least 18 years of age
    • Successfully complete a background check and drug screen
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English
    • Ability to thrive in a team environment
    • Valid FL Driver's License with a clean driving record
    • Ability to provide proof of educational achievement or required certifications such as a high school diploma, GED, college degree, advanced degree, or medical credential
    • Experience in specialized activity area preferred (Arts/Crafts, Music/Drama, Archery Sports/Games)
